PullTube – Online Video Downloader

PullTube v1.8.4.15

PullTube offers you the possibility to download videos from two sources (YouTube and Vimeo), while other platforms may be added later. The application can handle playlists, allows you to choose the output quality and even extracts only the audio.

Download videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo, including the entire playlist, keeping the original format or extracting only the audio

Sharing videos through online hosting services such as YouTube or Vimeo is a common practice, however, if you have a slow internet connection, streaming content may not work as expected.

Video downloader that can import links via drag and drop and detects playlists
PullTube’s user interface is represented by a small window where you can quickly paste the video URL. note that you can also add videos by dragging and dropping links at the top of the PullTube window.

It is worth mentioning that if PullTube detects that a video is part of a playlist, it will offer to download the whole collection: it will fetch the data of each entry and process the download consecutively.

Download videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo to different output sizes and formats
PullTube will immediately start fetching video data so you can see the video name, duration and a small thumbnail. When configuring the download, you can choose the output quality (highest, 4K, HD or normal with different resolutions) or choose to export the audio only as M4A or MP3 files.

With the PullTube settings panel you can change the default download location and the default MP3 bitrate (320Kbps, 256Kbps, 128Kbps, 64Kbps). You can also add quality information to the name of the video and opt out of the application after all downloads are complete.

Offline access to videos hosted online in just a few steps
PullTube presents a simplified workflow to quickly download videos from YouTube or Vimeo, provides control over output quality, and enables you to extract audio as MP3 or M4A files.

However, in our tests, we noticed that PullTube had difficulty completing downloads when dealing with videos longer than 2 minutes. The process stops without any explanation and eventually the task can be completed, but you will need to add the link to the download tool several times.
